Mariah Carey will return next month with "Say Something", her first single in over two years.

Featuring Snoop Dogg and Pharrell Williams, the track is the lead cut from her forthcoming new album - the 10th of her career, and first release under a new contract with Def Jam.

Mariah's recent contractual problems have been well documented; after leaving Sony Music (which coinciding with her split from label boss Tommy Mottola) she signed a huge deal with Virgin Records in 2002, only to be dropped several months later with a multi-million dollar payoff.

Her last album, 2002's "Charmbracelet" was released on her own MonarC Music label in a deal with Island Def Jam Records and, although taking her back in the right direction, did not take off commercially.

The 34-year-old's forthcoming new album is set for release March 1 and is being produced by Jermaine Dupri and Kanye West.

"Mariah is getting ready to shoot the video for Say Something", a spokeswoman for her record label revealed to the New York Post.

"It is an amazing album that crosses all boundaries of R&B, hip-hop and pop."
